These Truths

Creating in the face of censorship...

The US Government has removed over 350 words from official websites. My current exhibition at Mercury 20 in downtown Oakland is a meditation on holding onto values and beliefs in the face of censorship. I layer text, cut paper, and paint to explore and combat the erasure of the truths we hold. To keep creating, speaking out, writing, marching, and supporting each other is what we must do, isn’t it? It never feels like enough, but it does feel like something.
